The head of Spotify says: ‘I have 99 problems but Jay-Z isn’t one.’ Martin Lorentzon, the co-founder and chairman of the streaming service, stated this in response to the recent emergence of Tidal, a rival streaming platform owned by Jay-Z. Tidal has already received ample criticism from major artists like Mumford & Sons and Lily Allen, but now it’s clear that even from a business perspective, the major players in the streaming space aren’t worried one bit.
